Indoor Performance

With InsideOut Performance Fabrics®, you do not have to sacrifice beauty and softness in order to have cleanability, durability and more! Our fabrics are constructed to withstand every day use and are classified as heavy-duty residential textiles, making them perfect for busy households with children and pets. In addition, all InsideOut Performance Fabrics® pass the requirements to be in contract and commercial spaces such as hotels, restaurants and healthcare facilities.

Cleanable & Stain Resistant

Most everyday indoor stains, such as food or liquid spills and dirt marks, can be cleaned with a household soap (such as dish soap) and water mixture. For tougher stains, like red wine or marker, we recommend using a diluted bleach mix or a general household spray cleaner such as Lysol or Clorox. For complete cleaning instructions, visit our cleaning page.

Durable

A fabric’s level of durability really comes down to what type of fiber(s) it is actually made of. Natural fibers such as cotton and linen have much lower durability than synthetic fibers such as polyester and polypropylene (also known as olefin). InsideOut Performance Fabrics® are constructed with a combination of solution dyed polypropylene and high energy dyed polyester. Every InsideOut Performance Fabric, regardless of color, texture or design, is at least 50,000 double rubs.

Liquid Resistant

InsideOut Performance Fabrics® uses an eco-friendly, PFAS chemical free finish to achieve liquid resistance. This finish prevents liquid spills from penetrating the fabric, making liquids “bead” and roll off for easier cleaning.

PFAS Chemical Free and Greenguard Gold Certified

All InsideOut Performance Fabrics® are completely free of PFAS chemicals and are Greenguard Gold Certified, which demonstrates compliance with chemical emission standards and a commitment to healthier indoor environments. Learn more about what it means to be Greenguard Gold Certified.

Fade Resistant

InsideOut Performance Fabrics® use a high-energy interval dyeing process and a UV inhibitor added into the dye to achieve color fastness and fade resistance. The expected color fastness for InsideOut Performance Fabrics® is 3+ years.

Quick Dry & Liquid Resistant

Polypropylene, one of the primary fibers in InsideOut Performance Fabrics®, is a hydrophobic fiber type; meaning it inherently has water-repelling properties and inhibits water absorption. This fiber type combined with a liquid resistant finish that is PFAS Free, allows InsideOut Performance Fabrics® to be quick drying and liquid resistant.

Mildew Resistant

InsideOut Performance Fabrics® has properties that prevent the development of mold and mildew, but please be advised that mold and mildew can grow on dirt and other substances embedded into the fabric - therefore, it is important to regularly brush off or use a blower to remove debris from your upholstered outdoor furniture.
